The Town of Drumheller is seeking an Urban Forest Implementation and Management Plan. As part of the Town's Flood Mitigation work, in 2021, the Flood Office prepared the “Drumheller Valley – Preserving & Enhancing the Urban Forest: Standards & Techniques” document. Based on this document, the Flood Office has been implementing a 5:1 replacement program – planting five trees and shrubs for every healthy tree removed as part of the Flood Mitigation Program. The current study seeks to better define the third priority area by identifying appropriate public locations for planting trees and shrubs when there is not suitable space available in the area or community from which the trees were removed.  The plan will also work to inform the Town of Drumheller where to target future planting projects over the coming decade.

The successful Proponent will develop a detailed work plan to achieve the deliverables listed in section 2.1.7. Tasks required to complete the deliverables but not listed here shall be included where necessary.
