   1. Project Background

The Town of Drumheller is requesting proposals form qualified firms for the following services:

1. Services pertaining to a feasibility study and conceptual planning on a new Aquaplex facility. The Plan will engage the various existing user groups in Drumheller, the public, potential future user group and partners, sponsors etc. through an approved consultation methodology to determine the scope of what an Aquatic Centre in Drumheller will entail. There is a secondary requirement to investigate whether the new Aquatic Center will also include an outdoor pool. 
2. Services pertaining to a feasibility study and conceptual planning for the addition of one (1) ice sheet. The additional ice sheet would be connected to the existing arena with new dressing rooms for the ice sheet addition and additional amenities for the AHL Drumheller Dragons. The Plan will engage the various existing user groups in Drumheller, the public, potential future user groups and partners, sponsors etc. through an approved consultation methodology to determine the scope of an additional ice sheet in Drumheller will entail. For this phase it can be assumed that the existing curling rink will be demolished.
